Dr. Jerri Jackson is a nationally recognized educator, instructional technology expert, and passionate advocate for equity in education. With over 20 years of experience in both K–12 and higher education, Dr. Ward-Jackson brings a deep understanding of classroom realities, administrative goals, and community needs. Her work is grounded in helping educators and leaders implement real-world solutions that support academic growth, increase student engagement, and close achievement gaps.
As the founder and CEO of Distinguished Educational Consulting, LLC, she and her team support schools, districts, educators, families, and communities in transforming teaching and learning through innovation, inclusivity, and practical strategy. Dr. Ward-Jackson has led regional and national initiatives in online learning, curriculum development, STEM and STEAM program designs, and professional learning for educators. She partners closely with school and district leadership to develop customized solutions that support student success and teacher growth. She was also featured in Teacher.org’s article, “Teachers vs. Tech: Putting an Old Adversary to Good Use,” where she shared her insights on meaningful tech integration and the power of training, access, and intentionality. Her published research explores online learning effectiveness, equity in instruction, and digital tools that drive student engagement.

The Distinguished Educational Consulting (DEC) team is composed of certified K–12 teachers/administrators and higher education administrators and leaders, each bringing more than 15 years of experience in the field of education. Our expertise includes collaborating with school leaders to assess instructional needs and identify targeted professional development aligned with teachers’ concerns and priorities. We provide support through the modeling of research-based instructional strategies in English Language Arts, literacy across the curriculum, ACT preparation, and technology integration for educators working with students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. DEC also assists administrators and teachers in developing data-driven action plans aimed at improving student achievement and creating district-wide ELA curriculum and instructional frameworks. In addition, our team has extensive experience evaluating extended-day programs and Early Childhood initiatives.
